Talasani Didn't Give Resignation Letter: Congress
The Congress alleged Yadav, who had won on a TDP ticket, cheated by continuing in the TRS cabinet without resigning to his MLA's post after leaving the TDP.
Former MLA and Congress leader Gandra Venkataramana Reddy alleged that Telangana Cinematography Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav had not submitted his resignation letter as an MLA to the Speaker's office yet.
He alleged that Yadav, who had won the election on a TDP ticket, cheated the 4.5 crore people of Telangana by continuing in the TRS government's cabinet without tendering his resignation to his MLA's post after leaving the TDP.
Speaking to the media at the Assembly premises on Sunday, Reddy revealed that he had gathered through a Right To Information Act (RTI) query that Yadav had not yet sent his resignation letter to the Speaker.
Alleging that Yadav has misled the Governor and defied the Constitution, he demanded that action be taken against him.
He also said the Congress would lodge a complaint with the Governor against Yadav.
He urged the Director General of Police to file a cheating case against the minister by taking up the issue suo motu.
