Minister for Animal Husbandry Talasani Srinivas Yadav today dared the BJP leaders to come for a debate on the development of Telangana during the last nine years under the leadership of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.
Addressing an Aatmeeya Sammelanam program at Golnaka in the Amberpet Assembly constituency, the minister ridiculed Prime Minister Narendra Modi saying yesterday in Hyderabad that the BRS government was not supporting the Centre for the development of Telangana, and asked the Prime Minister to disclose which development work the Telangana government had obstructed.
"It appears that Narendra Modi has come to Hyderabad only to criticise Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and the State government. He has not spoken about the unfulfilled promises made under the AP Reorganisation Act and other pending projects," Yadav said.
He claimed that the State government had spent hundreds of crores of rupees for the development of Hyderabad, and that many flyovers and underpasses had been taken up to ease the traffic congestion under the Strategic Road Development Program (SRDP), which PM Modi was clearly unable to see.
The minister also accused union minister G Kishan Reddy of failing to develop the Amberpet Assembly constituency that he had represented thrice as an MLA, as also as the Secunderabad Lok Sabha constituency that he now represented.
