Several MLAs including Gutta Sukhendra Reddy, Vivek, Madhu Yakshi, Danam Nagendra, Granda Venkatarama Reddy met senior Congress leader K Keshava Rao and PCC President D Srinivas, and apprised them of the situation arising out of the Telangana Bandh. Some Congress ministers in the Rosaiah Cabinet also wrote a letter to the AICC president on Saturday seeking a lasting solution to the ongoing crisis.
Veteran Congress leader and Congress Working Committee member G Venkatswamy on Sunday appealed to AICC president Sonia Gandhi to concede the demand for separate Telangana. He called on fasting Telangana Rasthra Samithi (TRS) president K Chandrasekhara Rao at the Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS). Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) president Chiranjveevi also visited NIMS and assured the TRS supremo of full support. He said that PRP was committed to the formation of separate Telangana.
Meanwhile, with KCR suffering from high fever and getting weak with the every passing hour, the doctors at the NIMS are administering fluids and anti-biotics to keep him away from any internal infection.
