Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka emphasized the need for utmost care and precaution during the data entry phase of the comprehensive household survey, which is nearing completion.
Addressing a video conference with district Collectors from Ranchi in Jharkhand, where he had gone to celebrate the victory of the INDIA alliance in the Assembly elections (he had served as the AICC's senior observer and chief campaigner for the Congress for the Jharkhand Assembly elections), Vikramarka stressed the importance of ensuring accuracy and quality in the data entry.
He also added that during the survey phase, if issues such as locked houses or unavailability of residents arose in urban areas, officials should address them by contacting the residents, informing them about the survey, and ensuring their availability.
Vikramarka also stressed the need for careful handling of the details of migrants in rural areas.
Moving on to addressing recent food poisoning incidents, Vikramarka said that cases of food poisoning reported in some hostels and residential schools needed to be addressed promptly, and that officials needed to take appropriate measures to prevent such incidents in the future. He reminded the officials that the government had already increased the mess allowances to tackle issues like food contamination in hostels.
"A special meeting will soon be convened with the relevant officials to devise an action plan to prevent food poisoning and improve hygiene standards," Vikramarka said.
