Rajya Sabha MP T Subbirami Reddy on Saturday announced that he would contest the next Lok Sabha polls from the Visakhapatnam seat.
Addressing a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan here, Subbirami Reddy said that he was nominated by the party as a candidate for the Rajya Sabha elections, and that that is why contested the just-concluded polls. However, he expressed his strong desire to contest from Visakhapatnam seat.
Subbirami Reddy thanked AICC president Sonia Gandhi, vice-president Rahul Gandhi and Congress MLAs who voted for him during the Rajya Sabha elections. (INN)
