"I love cricket. I dream of becoming a great cricketer. Please get me a cricket kit, Sir," were the heartfelt words that came today from a young boy Bhouth Nithin bravely battling terminal cancer.
Minister Sridhar Babu was deeply touched and couldn't hold back his tears. Overcome by emotion, he immediately arranged for a cricket kit, fulfilling the boy's wish on the spot.
The incident happened at Sparsh Hospice in Hyderabad that the minister visited upon learning of the young cancer patient from Sarvai Peta village in Palimala mandal of Bhupalpally district undergoing treatment there.
The minister reassured Nithin that everything would be all right, and offered his unwavering support. He then also spoke with Nithin's parents, and told them that he would stand by them like an elder brother and encouraged them to reach out to him directly for any assistance they needed.
