In keeping with the promises to the state, Union Human Resources Minister Smriti Irani will lay the foundation stone for three educational institutions on 28th March, Saturday, in Andhra Pradesh in the presence of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and other state dignitaries.
This foundation stone laying ceremony comes less than two months after the foundation was laid for IIM Vizag.
These three central institutions coming up in the Chittoor district around Sri City are the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) and Indian Institute of Information Technology Chittoor (IIIT).
These institutions will help Andhra Pradesh in turning a hub for knowledge and education.
These institutes will tie up with various national and international institutes and universities abroad, so that students get opportunities to interact with the faculty at the latter places and broaden their (the students') horizons.
In keeping with the vision of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu to develop AP as a model state for innovation and entrepreneurship, the central institutions will act as catalysts for the creation of a talent pool.
These institutions will emphasize on providing quality education for students with top facilities, and increase the skill development resources in the state. The government is focusing on restructuring the education system in order to empower people, create jobs and boost economic growth. (INN)
