All necessary and possible incentives and subsidies would also be given to help the workers of the company in a phased manner, the Telangana minister said.
Telangana Industries Minister K T Rama Rao today performed a puja at the site where the paper mill at Sirpur Kagaznagar in Kumaram Bhim Asifabad district will be restarted.
Speaking on the occasion, KTR said that the mill would be completed by and start functioning in December. All necessary and possible incentives and subsidies would be given to help the workers of the company in a phased manner, he declared amidst applause from the gathering.
The minister also said that the paper mill would provide jobs to the local people in the area, adding that over 10,000 workers would benefit from it directly and indirectly.
The minister also appreciated MLA K Konappa for his persistent efforts to get the mill reopened after it was closed four years ago.
The minister said that the state government would extend all necessary and possible support to the Rs. 30,000 crore J K Group which was taking over the mill. "KCR has asked them to restart the paper mill at any cost, and we are on the job now to provide jobs and employment," he said.
KTR also said that justice would be done to the SPM contract workers, and that the FCI in Ramagundam would also be revived soon. He also said that efforts were on to revive the CCI unit in Adilabad and the BILT unit in the Bhupalapally areas.
