Noted Telugu singer Mangli escaped a major road accident in the wee hours of Sunday.
A DCM hit the car that she was travelling in. Two people travelling with her sustained simple injuries in the accident.
According to the Shamshabad police, the accident took place at Thondupalli bridge on the Hyderabad-Bangalore national highway, on Sunday midnight. Mangli had attended the World Spiritual Festival at Kanha Shanti Vanam in Nandigama mandal of Ranga Reddy District on Saturday. After midnight she left for home in her car, via the Hyderabad-Bangalore national highway. Two others named Meghraj and Manohar too were accompanying her.
When they reached the Thondupalli bridge in Shamshabad mandal, a DCM from Karnataka came speeding from behind and rammed into their car. The three sustained minor injuries in the incident. The rear of the car was however completely damaged.
More details of the incident are yet to be received.
