The Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) has provided employment opportunities to 23,650 people through a series of job fairs conducted over the past six months.
SCCL brought prominent Hyderabad-based companies directly to the doorsteps of urban and rural youth, helping them secure suitable jobs based on their educational qualifications.
The company organised job fairs in seven towns over the last six months. At each fair, 100 to 250 private companies from the Hyderabad region participated, providing diverse employment opportunities. A total of 66,965 unemployed youth participated, of which 23,650 secured jobs.
The large-scale job fairs offered opportunities to candidates ranging from Class 7 pass-outs to postgraduates, including those with technical, medical and paramedical qualifications.
Wide publicity through announcements, posters, pamphlets and WhatsApp groups drew participants even from remote villages and towns, turning urban centres into festive hubs during the events.
Job seekers and local representatives appreciated Singareni's smooth and efficient arrangements. Ministers and elected representatives are also said to have played a role in the success of these job fairs.
SCCL Chairman and Managing Director N Balram said that Singareni would continue to fully support social welfare programs in its operational regions and surrounding areas. He also announced that special support would be extended to upcoming job fairs. New mega job melas are planned soon in the Kothagudem, Illandu, Manuguru and Asifabad regions.
