Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao asked people to gear up for a cashless Siddipet as it was proposed to be made the first constituency in Telangana to go fully electronic in terms of transactions soon.
Interacting with Rao with retired employees, senior citizens, LIC agents, beedi workers, and doctors at a cotton market yard in the district headquarters on Sunday, the Minister said that the proposal to go fully electronic was made to address the problems of people during cash transactions, and hence everyone should cooperate to fulfill the collective dream.
"Everyone in the nation is facing problems due to the unavailability of cash. But it can be addressed by opening bank accounts and paying and receiving money through debit/credit cards and other electronic solutions. Open RuPay Debit card accounts and your problems will be solved. This will also render your payments transparent," he said.
