About 4,000 policemen were deployed in a 4-tier security net set up at the BHEL centre, where as many as 4,940 candidates appeared for 445 posts.
Hyderabad, which, till a day earlier, was a free zone, was on Saturday made part of the 6th zone by way of
deletion of the 14 F Clauseu.
Pro-Telangana organizations had then demanded the postponement of exams by a month to enable Telangana candidates to prepare for the same, in view of deletion of 14-F. However, the state government went ahead with the exams.
Meanwhile, a case of copying was reported from Eluru. A candidate, Sugunakar Rao, an armed reserve constable, was held while copying at the C R Reddy College centre. The Eluru DIG has ordered his suspension.
