The founder president of the YSR Telangana Party Y S Sharmila today came down heavily on the Chief Minister of the state K Chandrashekar Rao, alleging that there was hardly any service sector which did not witness a hike in charges under KCR's rule.
She said that no charges had been increased during her father and former Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhar Reddy's rule.
However, TSRTC bus fares, electricity charges, house taxes, stamp duties and more had either already seen a rise or were about to be hiked, in KCR's brief rule, she claimed.
She said that the state government had just increased the RTC bus fares, and was already planning to hike the electricity charges now.
She lamented that the state government was not planning to spare even those 40 lakh poor people whose monthly power consumption was less than 50 units per month.
She said that the state government had taken the decision to plug a deficit of Rs. 6,800 crore, caused by its own mishandling of the state, by burdening the common people, and called upon the people to get ready to defeat the TRS in the next Assembly elections.
