In a surprising move, former minister Dr. P Shankar Rao on Wednesday served a notice of "No Confidence Motion" against Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and his council of ministers.
"Under Rule 75 (1) of Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly, I hereby give a notice of No Confidence on the Chief Minister and the Council of Ministers," Shankar said, in his notice given to the Assembly secretary.
"I express No Confidence in the Council of Ministers headed by N Kiran Kumar Reddy," he said.
Shankar Rao demanded that the Assembly be convened at the earliest, and that the same be taken up. (INN)
