With an hour of the APSCHE announcing the dates for EAMCET and other CET exams, the Telangana State Council for Higher Education announced that it would conduct a separate EAMCET for the students of Telangana State.
Speaking to media persons, TSCHE chairman Papi Reddy accused the APSCHE of acting in haste and a unilateral manner in announcing the dates for exams for admission to various professional courses.
He said that the TSCHE would conduct common entrance tests for its students on its own.
He informed that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had already signed the files pertaining to EAMCET for Telangana students, and that the dates for EAMCET and other exams would be finalised after holding a meeting with the Vice-Chancellors of all universities of Telangana soon. (INN)
