Labour Minister Danam Nagender and Secunderabad MP Anjan Kumar Yadav, on Friday, assured the people of Seemandhra living in Hyderabad that there was no threat to their lives and properties here.
Talking to reporters at Secretariat, Nagender said that Seemandhra people living in Hyderabad need not fear anyone, and that they can continue to live peacefully as they have been for the last several decades.
He also opposed the proposal to make Hyderabad a Union Territory, saying that it is unacceptable, and that it would be opposed tooth and nail.
He also requested the leaders of the Seemandhra region to abide by the decision of the Congress High Command.
Addressing a separate press conference at MLA Quarters, the Secunderabad MP said that nearly 30-40% of the people in his constituency hail from the Seemandhra region, and said that he assures them that they are completely safe in the city. (INN)
