Senior Congress leader Amos has alleged that Congress leaders from Seemandhra are distorting the history of the state's formation.

"Potti Sriramulu went on an indefinite fast only for a separate Andhra state, and it has nothing to do with the formation of Andhra Pradesh. He died while on fast only to separate Andhra from the composite Madras state, and had wanted Madras as the capital of Andhra," said Amos

"Seemandhra leaders are distorting history and spreading lies as no resolution was passed in the Hyderabad assembly for the formation of Andhra Pradesh," he alleged. (INN)
