Leaders of the Congress who hail from the coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema region have postponed their meeting with the party High Command.
The Seemandhra leaders, whose constituencies are now breaking out in protests supporting a United Andhra Pradesh, were supposed to go to Delhi on 12-13 of July. However, since they could not get an appointment with the Congress' bigwigs there, their meeting will now take place some time between the 15th and the 20th of July.
There is also pressure for these leaders to resign like their Telangana counterparts did, and the Seemandhra group is looking for ways to get heard by the Centre before things take a turn for the worse in the non-Telangana region of AP.
Meanwhile, a movement for separate statehood for Uttarandhra is gaining steam, with local leader Vangapandu demanding a special package for the poverty-stricken Uttarandhra region. Vangapandu is also demanding a separate state, should the Centre give in to the Telangana demand.
