The Seemandhra Advocates JAC on Sunday demanded the cancellation of the second one day match between India and West Indies, scheduled to be played at Visakhapatnam, on November 24.
Speaking to the media at Rajamundry, SAJAC convener M Subba Rao said that the JAC has passed a resolution seeking the cancellation of the match at Vizag, and the same has been conveyed to the concerned cricket associations.
He said that it was incorrect on the part of the Centre to conduct a match at the Visakhapatnam Stadium while deciding to bifurcate Andhra Pradesh against the wishes of crores of Telugu people.
Hundreds of people are on the streets protesting against the Centre's decision, and it will be improper to hold a cricket match in the present situation, he said. (INN)
