Cyberabad Police Commissioner C V Anand on Friday issued prohibitory orders with a view of maintaining public order, peace and tranquility in the Cyberabad Metropolitan area.
He also ordered the imposition of Section 144 in Cyberabad limits from Sep 28 to Oct 5. Assembly of 5 or more persons in the limits of the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate has been prohibited, with effect from 6pm on Sep 28 to 6pm on Oct 5.
He said that this is in view of the ongoing agitations for separate Telangana and Seemandhra by various organizations in the state.
The Commissioner has prohibited any kind of public meetings and processions in the area that take place without permission of the Zonal Dy. Commissioners of Police, Law and Order concerned, or the Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad.
Carrying of arms such as swords, spears, knives, sticks with or without flags bludgeons, guns, explosives, and other offensive weapons in the area has also been prohibited. "The gathering of persons on public roads or public places, disturbing peace and order or causing inconvenience, annoyance or danger to public" has also been banned.
Carrying of stones or other means of casting missiles, music, singing or speeches or broadcasting through loud speakers has been banned in the area.
The Commissioner has prohibited the use of mikes/public address systems and vehicle horns by any organisation, or members of public in the area.
C V Anand said that any person violating the above orders would be liable for prosecution under the Hyderabad City Police Act, 1348, Fasli (No. IX) r/w Rule 7 of the Cyberabad Metropolitan Police Act, 2004.
These prohibitory orders will be in force with effect from 6pm on Sep 28 to 6pm on Oct 5. (INN)
