The second Vande Bharat Express between Secunderabad and Visakhapatnam, which will also be the fourth Vande Bharat Express from Telangana, is set to start its operations on March 12.
The inaugural train service will be flagged off from the Secunderabad station by Prime Minister Narendra Modi through video.
The regular services of the train will commence on March 13, 2024.
The existing Vande Bharat train connecting the two cities has been operating with consistently more than 100% occupancy. Therefore, an additional train is now being introduced along the same route and with the same stoppages.
The train from Secunderabad to Visakhapatnam (number 20707) will depart from Secunderabad at 5:05 am and arrive at Visakhapatnam at 1:50 pm. The train from Visakhapatnam to Secunderabad (number 20708) will depart at 2:35 pm and arrive at Secunderabad at 11:20 pm.
The train will stop at the Warangal, Khammam, Vijayawada, Rajahmundry and Samalkot railway stations.
The train consists of seven AC Chair Car coaches and one Executive AC Chair Car coach, and has a capacity of 530 passengers.
