SC, ST Categorisation Opposed

The CM had written a letter to the Centre to the categorise the 2 castes, a move opposed by the Mala Mananadu president.
Hyderabad | 16th October 2010
Mala Mahanadu president Jupudi Prabhakar Rao urged the government not to split SCs and STs in the name of categorisation.

Speaking to media persons on Saturday, Prabhakar Rao pointed out that Chief Minister K Rosaiah had written a letter to the Centre to the categorise the 2 castes.

He said that this move is unwarranted, and urged the Chief Minister to, instead, study the Usha Mehra Panel Report and arrive at a decision.

Prabhakar Rao also said that the Congress had come to power with the help of Malas, and found fault with the Chief Minister's letter to the Prime Minister.
