AIR To Conduct Poets' Symposium
66 poets from 22 Indian languages, and eminent translators of Hindi and Telugu, are expected to participate in the event.

The All India Radio, Hyderabad, will conduct a "Sarva Bhasha Kavi Sammelan" (national symposium of poets) from January 9 at APSRTC Kala Bhavan in Baghlingampally.
Governor E S L Narasimhan will be the chief guest, informed AIR Deputy Director General Mangalagiri Aditya Prasad.
"66 poets from 22 Indian languages, and eminent translators of Hindi and Telugu, will be participating in the event. We are very happy as AIR, Hyderabad, is hosting the prestigious event," he said.
AIR New Delhi Director General R Venkateshwarlu, ADG Shaharayar and Chennai ADG K P Srinivasan will also participate in the event.
Along with poets from Telugu, Hindi and Sanskrit, poets from 22 Indian languages that include Nepali, Santali, Bodo and Dogri, hailing from places as far as Srinagar and Imphal, will be part of the event.
Recordings of this event will be broadcasted on the national network of AIR on 25 January (Saturday) at 10pm. At the same time, regional language versions of this program will broadcasted from the respective AIR stations. (INN)
