Patel Responsible For Hyderabad Liberation: Amit Shah
The Union Minister for Home Affairs made these remarks while addressing a public meeting in Nirmal to celebrate Telangana Liberation Day.

Union Minister for Home Affairs Amit Shah today claimed that then deputy prime minister of the country Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was responsible for the liberation of the then Hyderabad princely state.
He made these remarks while addressing a public meeting held in Nirmal by the BJP to celebrate Telangana Liberation Day.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that Telangana had got freedom after 13 months of the country itself getting freedom, thanks to Patel's resolve.
However, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao did not seem to value the achievement, Shah said, as could be seen from the fact that he had abandoned all his promises to celebrate Telangana Liberation Day, and was resisting all calls to do that.
The main reason was that KCR was following the diktaks of the MIM, Shah alleged.
The BJP however did not care for the MIM, and would hold the liberation day celebrations officially after coming into power in the state, the union Home Minister vowed, pointing out to the fact that the BJP was holding the liberation day celebrations in a grand manner in neighbouring Karnataka.
He added that Telangana would get complete freedom only after the defeat of the MIM.
He also called upon the party workers to ensure the victory of the party candidate Etala Rajender in the upcoming by-election to the Huzurabad Assembly constituency.
Shah also predicted that the party would win all the MP seats in the state in the next Lok Sabha elections.
Another union minister Kishan Reddy too asked the CM why he was not holding the liberation day celebrations in the state.
He also claimed that the people of the state were craving for a change of guard in Telangana, and that they wanted a CM who visited the state secretariat regularly.
