In a counter to the Telangana political JAC's
daily protests from February 1st to 7th, the Seemandhra JAC (that represents the United Andhra Pradesh movement) has announced that there will be peacful protests across the Rayalaseema and Andhra regions from February 2nd to 7th.
While the Seemandhra (political) JAC met at the Anantapur Arts College in a meeting titled the Seemandhra Garjana and attended by leaders of all political parties, the Seemandhra Students' JAC met at Nellore today.
The Seemandhra Students' JAC has announced the following program for February 3rd - 7th:
Feb 3: All people desiring a united state should write a postcard to the PM today
Feb 4: Start of padayatra (procession on foot) of students from Guntur to Hyderabad
Feb 7: Huge public meeting in Hyderabad in support of a united state
The Seemandhra (political) JAC has scheduled the following activities:
Feb 4: Women's groups will block all national highways
Feb 5: Collectorates to be gheraoed
Feb 6: Farmers will take out a rally on bullock carts
Feb 7: Huge public meeting in Hyderabad in support of a united state
The OU JAC has said that they have no objection to a procession from Guntur to Gudivada, but if the procession enters Telangana, it will spark off a huge fire. They said that if the self-respect of Telangana people was trampled upon, they would chase anyone out of the region.
