Saidabad police on Monday claimed that it had arrested one person on Sunday on charges of possessing 3 deer skins and trying to sell them.
According to the police, the accused has been identified as Richard Antony, a recovery agent of ICICI Bank and resident of Vinaynagar Colony, Saidabad.
The police stated that Sub-Inspector N S Ashok Kumar was tipped off about the deer skins during a round of patrolling in view of Vanta Vaarpu on Sunday. The SI duly informed the Inspector, and a team immediately raided Antony's residence, where the accused was caught along with the 3 deer skins.
Subsequently, a case under the relevant sections of the Wildlife Protection Act was registered against Antony.
The seized deer skins were shifted to the Forest Department's Anti Poaching Squad, Hyderabad. (INN)
