7,721 Crore For Kalyana Lakshmi, Shaadi Mubarak So Far

State Civil Supplies Minister Gangula Kamalakar said that Rs. 7,720.8 crore had been spent on the Kalyana Lakshmi and Shaadi Mubarak schemes of the government so far, and that a total of 9,31,316 people had benefited from them.

He said that of the beneficiaries, 4,35,365 were from the BC welfare department, 1,11,876 people from the tribal welfare department, 1,95,960 from the minorities welfare department and 1,88,212 from the SC welfare department.

The government was now giving Rs. 1,00,116 per head under the schemes to the beneficiaries, the minister said. He added that the schemes would be ongoing.

Commenting on those who had committed irregularities to benefit from the schemes, he said that the government had booked criminal cases against them.
