A notorious rowdy-sheeter was chased and murdered by a gang of 5 unidentified persons.
In a horrifying scene seemingly lifted from a Bollywood thriller, a notorious rowdy-sheeter was chased and murdered by a gang of 5 unidentified persons, under Nampally police station limits on Monday.
The rowdy-sheeter has been identified as 40-year-old Mohammed Fazaluddin, son of Ghousuddin and resident of M S Maqta.
According to police, Fazaluddin was returning after attending hearings in a pending case at the Nampally Court, on his motorcycle, at around 1:15pm.
Fazaluddin noticed some people following him, and became alert. Fearing a threat to his life, he stopped his motorcycle in front of an apartment building 'Hirani Residency'.
Fazaluddin made his way into a flat on the first floor, shouting for help. He hid himself in the kitchen of the flat.
His assailants, however, chased him into the building, brushing aside the watchmen who tried to stop him.
They then locked the flat's occupants in another room, and broke open the kitchen door.
The killers hacked Fazaluddin with the sword they had brought along. The victim's body bore deep cuts on the back and the right side of his neck, besides three deep gashes on his chest.
Fazaluddin withstood no chance, and died on the spot. His assailants fled from the spot after finishing their task.
By this time, however, the police were alerted to the goings-on. The pressed the CLUES team into service. Hyderabad Police Commissioner A K Khan told media persons that Task Force teams have been formed to nab the killers.
Fazaluddin was involved in 7 murder and attempt-to-murder cases in different police stations of the city.
Nampally Inspector Sridhar registered a case under section 302 IPC.
Central Zone Deputy Commissioner of Police Dr. Akun Sabarwal, Chikkadpally Assistant Commissioner of Police Chakrapani, Saifabad Assistant Commissioner of Police Murlidhara, and other officials inspected the crime scene.
