Telangana Jagruthi president K Kavitha on Sunday condemned Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy's request to the Centre to postpone the all-party meeting on Telangana scheduled on December 28.
Talking to media persons here, Kavitha said that it was ridiculous on part of the Chief Minister to seek the postponement of the all-party meeting in view of the World Telugu Conference to be held at Tirupati. She said that the all-party meeting would be attended by a representative of the Congress party and not by the Chief Minister himself. Therefore, seeking the postponement of the meeting to facilitate his presence in the World Telugu Conference is illogical.
Kavitha also condemned the Centre for not fulfilling the promise of the formation of a separate Telangana made three years ago. He appealed to the Telangana leaders of Seemandhra parties to join the statehood movement to fulfill the aspirations of people of the region. (INN)
