Revanth Reddy Seeks The Support Of CPI In Malkajgiri

The Congress candidate for the Malkajgiri Lok Sabha seat in the upcoming general elections today got the support of the left party.
Hyderabad | 17th March 2019
Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) Working President A Revanth Reddy, who is contesting for the Malkajgiri Lok Sabha seat in the upcoming general elections, today sought the support of the CPI.

He met CPI State secretary Chada Venkat Reddy and urged him to extend his party's support to him. Venkat Reddy agreed to do so.

Addressing a joint press conference later, Venkat Reddy called upon his party leaders and workers to work for the victory of Revanth Reddy. He said that the CPI was extending support to secular political parties as part of its slogan "BJP Hatao, Desh Bachao". He also said that the party's goal in Telangana was to defeat both the BJP and the TRS.

Speaking on the occasion, Revanth Reddy said that he sought the support of the CPI to take on the "feudal rule" of Telangana CM KCR. He said that the CPI had a huge presence in Malkajgiri, and that the support of the party would certainly help him win the seat.

Launching strident attacks on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and KCR, Revanth Reddy alleged that the two "feudal" leaders were two sides of the same coin. He said that KCR had extended complete support to all acts of the BJP during the last five years, and that a vote for KCR was nothing but a vote for the BJP. He said that there was no role for KCR to play at the national level. He likened KCR to the Telugu film character Gachibowli Diwakar, and said that the TRS leader was just a joker in national politics.
