Revanth Reddy Refuses To See TDP Leaders In Jail
Reddy is said to have appealed to the jail officials at Cherlapally to deny permission to all aspiring visitors, irrespective of their party affiliation.
Probably upset at landing in jail, beleaguered Telugu Desam Party deputy floor leader in the Telangana Assembly A Revanth Reddy is unwilling to meet with his fellow legislators.
According to informed sources, Reddy refused to meet TDP legislators Maganti Gopinath and Prakash Goud on Wednesday.
He was shifted to the Cherlapally jail from the Chanchalguda jail in connection with the infamous "note-for-vote" case in which he was caught red-handed while offering Rs 50 lakhs to MLA Stephenson for the latter's vote for the TDP candidate in the Telangana MLC elections.
Reddy is said to have appealed to the jail officials at Cherlapally to deny permission to all aspiring visitors, irrespective of their party affiliation.
"I want to meet with only my family members and not any others," he reportedly said.
Interestingly, Revanth Reddy did not hesitate to meet with close friends from the Seemandhra area on Tuesday, including Dhulipalla Narendra and Payyavula Keshav. However, the disgruntled TDP leader is reluctant to meet with any others including TDP leaders, and that resulted in his refusing to meet Gopinath and Goud on Wednesday.
Reddy preferred to meet only his family members and was unwilling to meet with others, the jail officials reportedly said. (NSS)
