Coming down heavily on Telangana minister Indrakaran Reddy, TDP Telangana state working president A Revanth Reddy said that he was ready for an open debate on corruption charges against the former.
The minister could decide the time, date and place for the open debate, Revanth Reddy said while talking to media persons at the TDP headquarters.
The TDP leader alleged that Indrakaran Reddy had indulged in corruption in issuing NOCs to JV projects dealing with the construction of houses for poor people, with the connivance of others.
Reacting to Revanth Reddy's allegations, Indrakaran Reddy vehemently denied the charges, and said he was ready for an open debate on them.
But Revanth Reddy retorted saying that instead of clarifying on his charges, the minister was indulging in a personal mollifying campaign, and reiterated his allegation that Indrakaran Reddy had taken crore of rupees in bribes for acting in favour of private institutions.
"I am ready to prove my charges," the TDP leader said, and asked the minister to come with all officials documents for the open debate.
Continuing his tirade, Revanth Reddy said that everybody knew the loyalty of the minister. It was the TDP which had originally made him a ZP chairman in 1987. After eventually becoming an MP, he joined the Congress when it came to power and amassed wealth during YSR's rule by obtaining contracts. Later he defected to the BSP and became an MLA on that party's ticket. And he then deceived BSP supremo Mayawati and joined the TRS to become a minister in KCR's cabinet, Revanth Reddy said.
