The intense election campaigning in Telangana, underway since the announcement of the municipal elections, concluded today.
With the campaign entering its final phase, the Congress reportedly sharpened its strategies. After completing his tour across eight districts, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy held an urgent online meeting with his ministers earlier in the day.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister held detailed discussions on the political situation in the 116 municipalities and seven municipal corporations across the State going in for elections. He sought updates from the ministers on the party's grassroots strength, the strategies of the opposition parties and the overall mood of the voters.
Reddy instructed the ministers to remain vigilant every minute, even after campaigning ended, until polling concluded. He advised them to immediately address any dissent or rebellion within the party ranks, and ensure that the cadre remained united.
He said that the party's goal should be to win the maximum number of municipalities, and that the results would serve as a referendum on the government's performance. He offered suggestions and sought to instill fresh enthusiasm among the leaders.
The Chief Minister also reviewed the efforts made by the ministers to communicate the government's guarantees and welfare schemes to the public.
