Revanth Reddy Meets Congress Leaders Kharge, Rahul Gandhi

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy today called on All India Congress Committee (AICC) President Mallikarjun Kharge and senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi at the party office in New Delhi and discussed various issues related to the Telangana Congress.

The Chief Minister along with Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, several ministers and senior party leaders held discussions with high command on various issues, including the proposed change of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president, the proposed cabinet reshuffle and expansion, and the filling of pending nominated posts.

The selection of a new PCC president and the cabinet expansion were discussed several times even in the past, but were postponed due to a lack of consensus among the top leaders.

Party sources said that there was a possibility of six new ministers being inducted, but that only four may be accommodated immediately.

Sudarshan Reddy, Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy, Vamshi Krishna, Mal Reddy Ranga Reddy and Prem Sagar Rao are reportedly being considered for cabinet posts.

For the TPCC president post, MLC Mahesh Kumar Goud and senior leader Madhu Yaskhi Goud from the Backward Classes (BC) community, Sampath Kumar and Laxman Kumar from the Scheduled Castes (SC) community, and MP Balram Naik from the Scheduled Tribes (ST) community are reportedly being considered.

The meeting also reportedly discussed the social equations to be considered in taking a final decision on the various posts, including those of the Deputy Speaker and the Chief Whip.
