Chief Minister Revanth Reddy attended the last rites of senior IPS officer Rajiv Ratan at the Maha Prasthanam in Rayadurgam on Wednesday, and paid tributes to the departed soul.
The State government had conducted the cremation of Ratan with full State honours.
Ratan, who was working as DG Vigilance and Enforcement, passed away on Tuesday due to a heart attack.
The CM was accompanied by Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, CM Advisor Vem Narender Reddy, Government Advisor Shabbir Ali, DGP Ravi Gupta and others.
Revanth Reddy earlier expressed shock over the sudden demise of Ratan, and recalled the remarkable services rendered by the IPS officer to the police department in the State for a long time.
Condoling the passing of Ratan and conveying deep sympathies to the grieving family members, the CM said that Telangana would always remember the senior police official who performed his duties efficiently and honestly.
