Return Seven Khammam Mandals To Telangana: TRS In LS
The TRS in general accused the Centre of deliberately failing to keep the promises of the A P Bifurcation Act during the debate on the no-confidence motion.

TRS MP B Vinod Kumar today asked the Centre to give back to Telangana the seven mandals that were forcibly merged into Andhra Pradesh from Khammam district after the bifurcation.
He made this appeal during a debate on the the no-confidence motion moved by the TDP against the NDA government at the Centre on the issue of Special Category Status to Andhra Pradesh.
The MP fumed that the Centre had merged seven mandals of Telangana into Andhra Pradesh without the consent of Telangana, and demanded that the House move a bill to merge back the seven mandals into his state.
The MP also accused the Centre of deliberately failing to keep the promises of the A P Bifurcation Act. He flayed the Centre for not giving national status to the Kaleshwaram project and offering funds for it. The AP government was not taking steps for setting up its own High Court in the state as the BJP-led NDA government was yet to take a final call on it. The Centre was still inconclusive on a steel factory in Bayyaram in Khammam district, and it had not taken any steps for a tribal university, either. All of these showed that the Centre had no intention of keeping the bifurcation promises, Kumar claimed.
He also sought immediate steps on the demands for an NTPC project and to complete the partially completed national highways.
