Rest In Peace "Sutti Velu"
The comedian who bagged a Nandi Award for the Best Supporting Actor, for the movie Vandemantaram in 1985, passed away due to a cardiac arrest.

Noted comedian Kurumaddali Lakshmi Narasimha Rao, who was popularly known as 'Sutti Velu', passed away at his residence in Chennai due to a cardiac arrest in the wee hours of Sunday. He was 65, and is survived by his wife Lakshmi Rajyam, three daughters, and a son.
According to family sources, Sutti Velu had been ailing for quite sometime and had been undergoing treatment at Vijaya hospital in Chennai.
Born on August 7 1947 at Bandar in Krishna district, Sutti Velu started his film career with `Mudda Mandaram’ and went on to act in as many as 200 films, including those helmed by popular director Jandhyala.
After quitting his job in a naval dockyard in Visakhapatnam, Sutti Velu’s carrer as a comedian spanned from 1980 to 2000, and he was famous for timely dialogues and expressions. His collaboration with comedian Veerabhadra Rao was very popular and the duo was nicknamed as Sutti Janta. His films include Nalugu Stambalaata, Chantabbai, Khaidi, Appula Apparao, Hai Hai Nayaka, Rendujella Sita, Edurinti Mogudu Pakkinti Pellam, Srivariki Premalekha, Repati Pourulu, Pratighatana, Kalikalam and his last film is Sasirekha Parinayam.
He bagged the Nandi Award for the Best Supporting Actor for the movie Vandemantaram in 1985. He also acted in a serial called `Anando Brahma’ which ran on Doordarshan, apart from other TV serials on ETV.
As garnered from the family, Kurumaddali Lakshmi Narasimha Rao's last rites will be performed on Monday in Chennai. Many people associated with the Tollywood industry have expressed shock over the demise of the beloved actor. (INN)
