Fee Reimbursement Report Under Consideration
The recommendations of the cabinet sub-committee on fee reimbursement are under the "active consideration" of the state government, says the Revenue minister.
The recommendations of the cabinet sub-committee on fee reimbursement are under the active consideration of the state government, Revenue minister N Raghuveera Reddy said, talking to reporters at the state Secretariat on Thursday. He said that the government was in receipt of recommendations made by the cabinet sub-committee.
However, he said that no decision has been taken on the issue, and that it is still under "active" consideration.
The minister said that any decision the government might take would be in the interest of the students, and that no harm would be done to their future.
Responding to a question on allegations made by opposition parties about the chief minister, he said that Kiran Kumar Reddy has been trying to reach common people through the Indramma Baata program, and that it is wrong to say that he has been ignoring people's problems.
Earlier, the Revenue minister, Municipal Administration minister M Maheedhar Reddy and Agriculture minister Kanna Lakshminarayana held a review meeting on rain-related problems, with district collectors, through video conference at the state Secretariat. The ministers discussed rain-related issues, and the supply of fertilizers and subsidised seeds to farmers. Officials were asked to remain alert to face the monsoon.
Senior officials of the departments of Revenue, Agriculture and others were also present in the video conference. (INN)
