Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mohammad Mahmood Ali today urged the Centre to repatriate Indians stranded in Saudi Arabia for several years.
In a letter addressed to External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, Mahmood Ali urged her to take responsibility for the situation and make all possible efforts to bring them home.
Around 30% of the 9,000 workers stranded in Saudi hail from Telangana. They were reportedly left unpaid and unfed by the Saudi kingdom for more than 8 months after being laid off.
