The Ramagundam Fertilisers Company is getting ready to restart operations in September this year, according to Agriculture Minister S Niranjan Reddy.
The restarting of the fertiliser company would benefit the farmers, he said.
Along with welfare minister Koppula Eashwar, Reddy visited the company's premises in Peddapally district today, and enquired on the status of the works to be completed for the restarting of operations.
Speaking on the occasion, the minister claimed that Rs 6,120 crore was being spent for the company which could produce 12.50 lakh metric tons of urea-based fertilisers every year.
The government had taken steps for the speedy completion of the works, he said.
