Sujana Chowdhary Apologises For "Dogs" Remarks
Chowdhary had, earlier, reportedly remarked that "dogs would bark when elephants walk", when he invited criticism over his abstention from the FDI vote in the RS.
TDP's Rajya Sabha MP Sujana Chowdhary on Wednesday apologised to his party colleagues for referring them to as "dogs" when they criticised his abstention from the Rajya Sabha during the recent voting on the FDI issue.
Chowdhary had, earlier, reportedly remarked that "dogs would bark when elephants walk", when he invited criticism over his abstention from the voting. Condemning the reaction, he had said that certain leaders were criticising him although "they do not match his stature". However, these remarks drew even more criticism within the Telugu Desam Party.
Following the intervention of TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu, Sujana Chowdhary reportedly called P Keshav, K Dayakara Reddy and other leaders, to apologise for his remarks. He reportedly told them that his reaction was not intended to hurt anyone. (INN)
