Hyderabad | 3rd October 2017
For the second consecutive day on Tuesday, heavy rains lashed Hyderabad.
Even as the city struggled to get back to its feet after the massive downpours on Monday evening lasting several hours, a second wave of thunderstorms today had citizens scurrying for cover and getting delayed.
However, there was good news, too - the huge rainfalls meant that the water levels in the critical reservoirs for Hyderabad, the Osman Sagar and Himayat Sagar lakes, rose significantly. The total water level capacity of Osman Sagar is 1,790 feet, and the current water level is 1,777.50 feet. And the total water level capacity of Himayat Sagar is 1,763.5 feet, and the present water level is 1,747.70 feet.
