Rail Roko: SCR Cancels Trains

The South Central Railway cancelled a number of trains in the face of the 'rail roko' agitation called by TPJAC tomorrow.

With Telangana Political Joint Action Committee (TPJAC) calling for 'rail roko' on March 1st, the South Central Railway (SCR) has cancelled several trains.

In a statement, the SCR stated that the following trains have been cancelled on March 1st, and asked the commuters to collect their full amount of reservation charges from the counters.

The trains cancelled are: Kakinada-Secunderabad Gowtami Express, Tirupati-Hyderabad Rayalaseema Express, Visakhapatnam-Secunderabad Garibrath Express, Gudur- Secunderabad Simhapuri Express and Yeshwantpur-Secunderabad Garib Rath.

The railways also appealed to people to postpone their trips to problematic areas in the Telangana region.
