The AICC leader said that the BRS' rule had destroyed the dreams of the people of Telangana, and that CM K Chandrashekar Rao considered himself the king of the State.
AICC leader Rahul Gandhi today said that the BRS' rule had destroyed the dreams of the people of Telangana, and that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao considered himself the king of the State, and that all the key portfolios were either in his hands or in the hands of his family members.
He said that the upcoming elections in the State were then a war between the people and a feudal lord.
Speaking at the Congress Victory Rally in Kalwakurthy, Gandhi alleged that 20 lakh farmers had been harmed in the name of Dharani in the feudal leader's government, and that the lands given to the poor by the Congress in the past were snatched away by the CM through the portal.
"Under KCR's rule, only one family, one person and one party leader benefited, but the loss has been done to all the people of Telangana. That is why the Congress is demanding that KCR should be defeated. We will recover the money that KCR had looted," he said.
Gandhi also alleged that the Chief Minister had increased the cost of the Kaleswaram project. "Now the pillars of the project are all collapsing one by one. Despite stealing Rs 1 lakh crore, the BRS could not construct the project properly. The Congress governments ruling the State had on the contrary built many game-changing projects in the past."
He also said that when the Congress returned to power, it would implement the six guarantee schemes announced by it.
