The Chairman, 20-point programme, and APCC official spokesman and former MP N Tulasi Reddy criticised the way Puttur TDP leader Muddu Krishnamanaidu cast aspersions on AICC general secretary Rahul Gandhi by alleging that he had links with SKS Microfinance director Vikram Akula.
Speaking to media persons on Monday, Tulasi Reddy said that it was unfair to establish a linkage with the MFIs' interest rate.
Stating that the State government had issued the GO in respect of the Ordinance, he said that no other State had done it so far.
Micro finance was started in 1975 in Gujarat, and Rahul entered politics in 2004, Tulasi Reddy pointed out.
How far was it justified to drag Rahul Gandhi's name into the MFI interest controversy, he questioned.
In this connection, the PCC spokesperson listed out various issues in which the TDP was involved, and advised Muddukrishnama Naidu to maintain dignity even while criticising.
