In the wake of alleged attacks on foreigners, especially Africans, in Hyderabad, Union External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj today asked the TRS government to provide complete protection to the foreigners staying in the twin cities and elsewhere.
Swaraj reportedly rang up Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and expressed concern over the alleged attacks on foreigners.
It may be recalled that a Nigerian was attacked by some people followed by a dispute over car parking at Banjara Hills recently. Swaraj is believed to have asked KCR to take all necessary measures to prevent the recurrence of such incidents.
"Since such incidents will only add salt to wounds, we must be extra cautious," Sushma reportedly suggested. Continuous patrolling on the roads and streets, vigilance at all levels, and the police being constantly active would prove handy, she reportedly opined.
