Project Science City, part of a Ministry of Culture initiative targeted at promoting science in major cities, will soon be coming to Hyderabad.
The project aims at enhancing public understanding of science and technology, and also at conducting seminars, lectures, exhibitions and science camps for the general public.
It will also showcase concepts like 4D Animation, Time Machine and Future Cities, and will have science parks and multi-purpose auditoriums.
The project will be costing around Rs. 100 crores, and will be spread over 30 acres. The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) is all set to kick-start the project.
Project Science City projects are taken to cities whose populations are not less than 50 lakhs.
