The Telangana Private Schools Managements Association, on Monday, announced that the private schools would open from Tuesday.
Talking to media persons at the TRS Bhavan, the Association's president K Papi Reddy said that in the interest of students and parents, and to save a valuable academic year, it has been decided to re-open the classes from Tuesday onwards.
However, Papi Reddy claimed that the private school managements have not cowed down to warnings issued by the government. He said that the decision to re-open the schools was taken purely to respect the concerns of parents towards their children's career.
He said that the agitation for Telangana statehood would be continued till the Centre announces its decision.
Stating that the students have lost only 12 days of school due to the employees' general strike, he said that the remaining syllabus would be completed during the holidays, with additional classes.
He also thanked parents and others for supporting their agitation.
It may be mentioned here that the state government had earlier warned the private schools managements of de-recognition if they do not re-open immediately. (INN)
