President Droupadi Murmu today arrived on a five-day visit to Telangana as part of her winter sojourn.
She will stay at the Rashtrapathi Nilayam in Bolla Ram till December 30.
The President was accorded a warm welcome by Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan and Minister for Tribal Welfare Satyavati Rathod when she arrived at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Shamshabad.
From the airport, the President flew to Srisailam in Nandyal district of Andhra Pradesh where she inaugurated a few projects related to the development of the Bhramarambika Mallikarjuna Swamy temple in the temple town under the PRASHAD scheme.
The President then returned to Hyderabad, landing at the Hakimpet airport.
This time, Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan; Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao; union minister Kishan Reddy; Telangana ministers, MPs and MLAs; BJP Telangana unit president Bandi Sanjay; officials of the Indian Air Force, Navy and Army; and the State government's higher officials welcomed her.
