Finance Minister Etela Rajender said that the preparation of first budget of the new State of Telangana had proved to be a very difficult task.
Speaking to media persons, Etela said that the difficulties faced in the budget preparation were primarily due to the bifurcation and the shortage of officials.
Stating that the State could not develop without adequate revenues, he said that equilibrium had been maintained in revenues and expenditure.
The minister said that despite several constraints, the Telangana government had set the process of development in motion by initiating several projects in the last five months.
He said that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was committed towards the development of Telangana, and that funds would never be a constraint in this regard.
